Charitable Giving

As the philanthropic arm of the American Nurses Association, the American Nurses Foundation inspires change and innovation by harnessing The Power of Nurses™ through strategic, nurse-led philanthropy. The Foundation mobilizes critical resources to fund innovative research and support initiatives that advance nursing practice, education, and leadership.
Over the last five years, the Foundation has invested $52.6 million in 132 grants, directly impacting the lives of more than 3 million nurses. By forging intentional partnerships and providing targeted grants, the foundation empowers nurses to drive change within healthcare systems and communities. This commitment and continued investment ensure that nurse-led solutions remain at the forefront of efforts to enhance care delivery and patient outcomes.
Happy Tails Pet Therapy

We believe in the profound healing power of the human-animal bond. Our dedicated volunteers provide much-needed physical, social, emotional, and cognitive therapy to people of all ages throughout the metro Atlanta area. We visit a wide range of settings, including hospitals; assisted living communities and nursing homes; K-12 schools, colleges and universities; behavioral and mental health facilities; developmentally disabled communities; bereavement and grief support groups; summer camps; reading programs; other non-profit organizations, and even the workplace – truly, anywhere a little extra love can make a difference.
Sometimes a wet nose and wagging tail is the best medicine.
National CARES Mentoring Movement

The mission of the National CARES Mentoring Movement is to secure, heal, and transform the lives of children by inspiring, recruiting, and mobilizing masses of caring men and women to mentor and nourish them. Our national volunteer 58 affiliate network connects adults to local youth-serving organizations, and our holistic group-mentoring programs focus on the emotional, social and academic development of our children and the wellness of the adults who parent, mentor and educate them.
